2019 OCASLA LARE EXAM PREPARATION SESSION

The Ohio Chapter of the ASLA invites LARE Candidates to participate in a prep session at MKSK on Saturday, October 26th, 2019. The session format enables candidates to assess strength and weakness, to preview problem styles, experience drilling, discover success factors as well as hear an overview of exam content to enhance overall exam performance. The Section 3 & 4 session features slides, videos, discussion, individual questions, 1 PPI book per session along with supplemental handouts plus customized post-session follow-up emails.

The LARE Prep sessions are a proven, affordable format featuring two books of study materials for exam Section 1. The proven course format addresses the full spectrum of experience and learning styles providing success for over 2,500 successful candidates since 2008, including 100 candidates since 2016. Instruction is provided by a licensed landscape architect, author, and publisher, Matt Mathes, PLA, ASLA.

Matt Mathes, ASLA, PLA

Matt Mathes has 35 years of experience and is licensed in 3 states, and for the past 15 years has served as a LARE review course instructor for all 4 test sections. He served as national ASLA Water Conservation Professional Practice Chair for the past 2 years. Matt sits on the national ASLA LARE Prep Committee, was an ASLA annual conference presenter in 2012 thru 2014, and is a major contributor to the LARE prep content currently posted at ASLA.org. He wrote two exam preparation books for LARE Section 1 published by Professional Publications, Inc. plus 6 published articles in LASN, Irrigation Association plus other publications. He organizes and leads LARE sessions for ASLA Chapters. Matt served as a presenter or as co-presenter for 7 ASLA chapters and as a guest lecturer at the University of Washington, Washington State University and Louisiana State University
