Come support an allied event with National Association of Minority Landscape Architects (NAMLA) OSU Chapter on Thursday 6pm December 7th at the Knowlton Gui Auditorium for a special screening of: The Architecture of Violence by Eyal Weizmann short documentary. Take a journey across the settlements and roads of the West Bank and along the Separation Wall where Israeli architect Eyal Weizmann demonstrates how designers have shaped the landscape in Palestine and Israel.

A panel discussion following the screening will provide the opportunity for the audience to ask questions about justice centered design and the role it plays in our careers as designers.

Sara is a Syrian-Mexican American landscape designer, currently employed at SVA Architects in Southern California. She has 10 years of experience working on community housing developments, libraries, and school projects. She has a special curiosity about and particular dedication to understanding the cultural, social, ecological, and structural conditions of complex landscape systems. Sara is deeply interested in problem solving at the human scale and contending with urban and social issues. Sara was the co-founder of NAMLA (National Association of Minorities in Landscape Architecture), which launched during the pandemic. She was also a former delegate for the California Democratic Party and the treasurer of the Arab-American Caucus from 2017-2019
